Vidia partners with EUROPRESS Umwelttechnik and forms a new platform in the recycling technology space
EUROPRESS Umwelttechnik GmbH (EUROPRESS) joins the fund as part of its second platform in the circular economy, building on Vidia’s longstanding industry experience.
Recycling only works if the technology behind it does. Compaction and sorting systems as well as maintenance technology are the backbone of the circular economy. As Europe pushes to divert more waste from landfill and incineration and prepares stricter separation and recycling requirements, demand for these solutions is structurally rising: a growing installed base drives replacement demand, while an increasing outsourcing trend is expanding the market for service, repairs, and conversions.
With EUROPRESS Umwelttechnik, Vidia Climate Fund I establishes a new buy-and-build platform in recycling and waste-handling technology, a natural extension of our circular economy theme and conviction on driving the reduction of materials’ emissions. EUROPRESS moves from the diversified Neuenhauser Group, as part of the group’s strategic vision, of which it has been part since 2015, to a dedicated owner focused on this field. Managing Director and co-shareholder Peter Poll, together with the experienced management team, will continue to lead the company entering the next phase of growth in partnership with Vidia.
Founded in 1993 in Lathen, Lower Saxony, EUROPRESS develops and builds market-leading compaction and highly customized sorting solutions for major material streams. The equipment portfolio is augmented by dedicated maintenance technology and manufacturer-independent service, backed by an experienced team on call 24 hours a day, all year round.
Together with the EUROPRESS team, our focus is clear: expanding the service business, continuing to pursue international growth opportunities, and supporting operational growth through targeted investments.
