Vidia Partners with Swedish Grid Infrastructure Specialist ABEKA
ABEKA El & Kraftanläggningar AB (“ABEKA”) will join Vidia Climate Fund I, concluding a decade-long ownership by the Swedish installation group Bravida Holding AB. ABEKA is a highly specialized electrical grid services and project management provider, predominately in the Swedish market. The acquisition adds a dedicated grid expansion platform of high systemic relevance to Vidia’s energy transition strategy.
Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Sweden, ABEKA provides turnkey electrical infrastructure solutions and services for regional and local electrical grids. ABEKA manages the entire project lifecycle from design and engineering to construction and commissioning, specializing in the critical infrastructure, including cabling, substations, and grid connections that enable the energy transition and ensure grid stability. ABEKA also supports the leading network operators, power producers, and industrial players in Sweden’s electrical grid.
The management team, led by founder and CEO Håkan Oscarsson, will continue to invest alongside Vidia and lead the company, which currently employs around 50 people. Together, ABEKA and Vidia aim to support the expansion and reinforcement of Sweden’s power grid and to drive the next phase of development for the business via organic and inorganic growth initiatives.
Over three decades, we have established a leading position by providing turnkey grid solutions and services that drive Sweden’s energy transition. Our focus is on reliable project execution and long-term relationships,” says Håkan Oscarsson, founder and CEO of ABEKA. “Partnering with Vidia gives us the independence and operational capabilities to continue this journey, develop our team, and support our customers as Sweden’s power grid evolves.”
Grid expansion and reinforcement are essential for the energy transition and meeting climate targets,” says Dr. Stephan Rosarius, founding partner at Vidia. “ABEKA is a trusted specialist in the Swedish grid market with a strong team and a blue-chip customer base. We are pleased that Håkan and his team have chosen Vidia as their partner and look forward to building this platform together.”
